CoverFX Is Officially Entering the Skin-Care Space—Here’s a Look at Their First Launch – OWNSKIN

We’re almost two weeks into 2021 and, if we’re being honest, it feels like a run-on of 2020. However, one good thing on our radar for the year are upcoming beauty launches, and a specific announcement from CoverFX is up there for most exciting.

This month, the cruelty-free, clean and makeup-focused brand is entering the skin-care market, and their first launch is the CoverFX Custom Blending Moisturizer ($42). The best part: It’s ideal for winter-induced dry skin (they hear us!).

Included in the ingredient lineup is everything from acids to microorganisms. First on the list: five types of hyaluronic acid and shea butter, which work in perfect harmony to maintain the skin’s elasticity; prebiotic and probiotic complexes balance the skin’s microbiome and unleash a bright, even complexion; and ceramides work to protect against environmental aggressors and free radicals.

According to Bustle, CoverFX founder and CEO Emily Culp says this launch was highly requested. “Our consumers kept asking us which moisturizers we recommend,” she says. “We needed to find one that we felt strongly about, that has amazing ingredients, and that was compatible and truly meant to be mixed with makeup.” When it came time to formulate, “We needed it to be vegan and cruelty-free, and to be really good for your skin. We did a lot of internal testing on all different skin types and skin tones and made sure it could be worn all day, either under makeup or as a standalone product.”

The cream has three main skin benefits: it’s incredibly renewing thanks to the prebiotic and probiotic complex, it preps the skin for makeup (it’s also wonderful on its own), and it mixes well with all of CoverFX’s liquid products for a completely customizable experience.
