Sapphire
JD Glow Sapphire Metallon Shadow ($7.50 for 0.095 oz.) is a deep, navy blue with strong, cool undertones and a pearly sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was just a touch over emollient, so it had a tendency to look a little uneven along the edges when they were diffused. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

The formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with a “built in primer.” The texture was creamier, smooth, and more emollient without being too thick or too firmly pressed into the pan, so while it was denser and not at all powdery, I had no trouble picking up product with a dry brush. Using a wet brush or fingertip to apply helped to minimize slight to light fallout that was more typical with dry brush application.
The pigmentation was semi-opaque to opaque with good adhesion to bare skin, and the powders blended out well along the edges. Some of the more sparkly shades had light fallout when blended or the sparkles dispersed a bit more readily, so precision placement was harder. They wore between eight and nine hours on me before fading or lightly creasing.
The one thing to note, though, is that they had a heavy, sweet, fruity scent that I could detect periodically through the day. The empty palette I placed all of the eyeshadows in practically bursts with scent when I open.

Anomaly
JD Glow Anomaly Galaxy Shadow ($7.50 for 0.095 oz.) is a bright, lighter purple with warmer, pink undertones and cooler, blue-to-violet shifting sparkle paired with a metallic finish. It appeared cooler-toned at a glance, even though the more the base was blended out, the pinker it became.
The texture was creamy, moderately dense, and lightly emollient with some slip, so it had smoother, more even adhesion to bare skin. The opaque coverage applied evenly and lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Varsity
JD Glow Varsity Metallon Shadow ($7.50 for 0.095 oz.) is a darker, bluish-aqua with cool undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The eyeshadow had rich color coverage paired with a smooth, creamy consistency that was moderately dense but blendable and easy to work with using a dry brush. It wore well for eight and a half hours before creasing faintly on me.

Lavender
JD Glow Lavender Metallon Shadow ($7.50 for 0.095 oz.) is a medium lavender with subtle, cool undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation with a more loosely-pressed, slightly chunkier consistency that was harder to work with using a dry brush.
I’d recommend using a dampened brush or a fingertip, both of which helped to combine the looser eyeshadow together for better, more even adhesion. It stayed on well for eight hours but had light fallout over time.

Deep Bronze
JD Glow Deep Bronze Metallon Shadow ($7.50 for 0.095 oz.) is a light-medium, golden bronze with strong, warm undertones and a shiny, metallic finish. The eyeshadow had rich color payoff in a single layer, which applied well to bare skin with a smooth, even laydown of product.
The texture was smooth, lightly creamy, and blendable without being too firmly-pressed into the pan. It wore nicely for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

Rich
JD Glow Rich Metallon Shadow ($7.50 for 0.095 oz.) is a light-medium gold with strong, warm undertones and a sparkling sheen. It had semi-sheer color coverage with a drier, chunkier consistency that was quite unlike other shades I’ve tried from the brand.
There was a lot of fallout during application, and it was hard to get the shade to apply evenly without using a dampened brush and an adhesive spray. It lasted for seven hours before fading noticeably.
