As a newly appointed Dame, celebrity makeup artist and head of a billion-dollar makeup brand, it’s clear Pat McGrath doesn’t slow down, but according to an interview with Allure, she still carves out the time to keep up with her beauty routine.
While the UK-bred 51 year-old may sell a $125 eyeshadow palette, some of her own beauty staples hail from the drugstore. When asked about her most-used inexpensive buy, McGrath calls out the cult-classic Bioderma Sensibio H20 ($15) micellar water, but notes she likes to splurge on the everyday favorites.
In her daily shower lineup: the almighty Citrus Melange Body Cleanser ($45) by Aesop, Oui The People Rose Gold Sensitive Skin Razor and Shave Gel-to-Milk ($125), and Pattern Leave-In Conditioner ($36). Once she steps out of the shower, her morning staple is, like a true beauty-lover, sunscreen. Her favorite? Institut Esthederm Bronz Repair.
Although McGrath has a bathroom full of products, the makeup maven is always on the lookout for new additions to her vanity. Due to COVID, she recently stocked-up on the Rescue Spa Hand Sanitizer ($22), and she’s been using a new NuFace device, too.
Of course, she also has her go-to’s within her own line. According to Allure, the last product she finished up in her makeup bag was her Bronze Temptation Lip Gloss ($28) and her most-used item is her Dark Star Mascara ($30, a much-loved staple among us editors.
