“She looks gorgeous, but she always does.”

If there’s one superstar we don’t see often enough down at newsstands, it’s Jennifer Lopez. Despite appearances on WSJ. Magazine, Vanity Fair and W last year, we still wanted more. Thankfully, Nina Garcia comes to our rescue with a pair of covers for ELLE‘s February 2021 issue. Nina has quite a knack for securing the crème de la crème of the music industry (Blackpink, Cardi B, Rosalía and more) for ELLE‘s front covers. Shot by Micaiah Carter with Alex White on styling duties, Jennifer wears figure-hugging looks from Fendi and Prada on the two covers.

Ultimately, the covers received mixed reviews. “What the hell is she wearing?” wondered caioherrero the moment the covers dropped.
“Oh wow, a big NO to the styling. Alex White is incredibly overhyped. This magazine is better off without her,” declared Benn98.
DK92 also wasn’t jumping for joy: “I expected something much better, her covers for ELLE are always good and it has been more than 10 years since she appeared on American ELLE!”

But not everyone was underwhelmed. “For me, J.Lo just comes alive for a camera. She has to be one of the most photogenic humans around… I’m always happy to see her. I almost feel like the strange outfit choices don’t even detract from how gorgeous she looks,” defended honeycombchild.
“She looks gorgeous, but she always does,” raved mepps.
“Love everything: hair, makeup, poses, styling… She never ever disappoints,” commented Bertrando3.
“J.Lo is more photogenic than most models,” bluebanter pointed out.
